Your Start as beginner sheep dog handler
A Border Collie is not a good herding dog overnight. A lot of practice is behind it, which is carried out with mindfulness and concentration. But consistency and discipline will lead to focused, reliable and thus positive experiences of success for you and your dog.

Beginner - Course Overview

Module 1
A round pen provides a controlled environment in which the dog can concentrate on the sheep and the dog handler. The dog starts to develop his sense of balance. You learn more about the character of your dog
-

Module 2
The basics laid down in the round pen are now reinforced without the round pen. Build up the outrun from behind, arrive at the end of the outrun and lift correctly. Then we increase the distance. The distance doesn't matter anymore if the dog has learned to arrive correctly. Arrive begins at 3 or 9 o'clock.

Module 3
In this podcast episode, I discuss further important points that you should bear in mind so that you can apply what you have learned even more clearly and effectively with your dog.
